Winter vibes
Winter holidays in the Ötztal
A winter holiday in the Ötztal Valley will prove even the most reluctant winter sports fanatics wrong. Namely, when the snow-covered mountains sparkle in the sun, almost kitsch-like, and outdoor sports take on a very special dynamic. Winter here primarily takes place on the slopes. The Hochoetz, Sölden, and Gurgl ski areas are between 10 and 50 km away. But even off the slopes, you'll be amazed by the many activities: ski touring, tobogganing, snowshoeing, or child-friendly family activities.
skiing
Hey, off to the slopes! The Ötztal Valley boasts six ski areas with a total of 90 lifts and over 350 kilometers of slopes, as well as two glacier ski areas. What? You'll have to let that sink in first, or better yet, explore it right away.
Ski tours
Do you prefer the backcountry? Untouched deep snow slopes, impressive peaks with panoramic views, and guaranteed snow well into spring await you in the Ötztal Valley. All ski tours are best done with trained and knowledgeable local guides.
Tobogganing
Tobogganing is a fun pastime and pretty crazy. Don't you believe it? See for yourself. In the Ötztal Valley and the surrounding area, there are several toboggan runs, alpine huts with toboggan rentals, and night tobogganing options, some of which include shuttles.
Snowshoeing
Snowshoeing off-piste, through snow-covered forests and meadows, on marked winter hiking trails, or in fresh powder. We're happy to help you rent snowshoes.
Family activities
Off to the ice! Ice skating on Lake Piburger See above Ötz is a highlight for the whole family and a fun experience that lives up to its promise. Afterwards, you can take a dip in the warm thermal waters of the Aqua Dome in Längenfeld.
